Mentor: Streamlining Spoiled Food Disposal

Mentor, a city in Northeast Ohio, has taken proactive measures to assist its residents in disposing of spoiled food. The city has designated a specific container located in the rear parking lot of Garfield Park, near the ballfields, where residents can drop off their spoiled food. Mentor emphasizes the importance of properly bagging the food waste and ensuring that the container is used solely for this purpose.

Lakewood: Flexible Disposal Options for Residents

In Lakewood, residents have the option to dispose of their spoiled food in their regular garbage cans on their scheduled pickup days. Additionally, the city's Refuse/Recycling Center is open to Lakewood residents, who can bring their spoiled food in garbage bags during the center's operating hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. The city requires residents to present a valid Lakewood address ID when utilizing the Refuse/Recycling Center.

Parma: Centralized Disposal Site for Spoiled Food

Parma, another city in Northeast Ohio, has set up a temporary dumpster at 11699 Brookpark Rd. for residents to dispose of their spoiled food. The dumpster is available for use from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, providing a convenient and centralized solution for Parma residents.

Shaker Heights: Dedicated Disposal Site and Hours

Shaker Heights has also stepped up to assist its residents with spoiled food disposal. The city's Public Works department is accepting spoiled food through Sunday, and residents can bring their food waste to 15600 Chagrin Boulevard between 8:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Westlake: Convenient Disposal Location

In Westlake, a white dumpster has been placed in front of the Board of Elections and the Westlake Police Department, allowing residents to conveniently dispose of their spoiled food.
